How to Connect
This guide will help you quickly join MinePix from PC, mobile devices, and consoles. We have collected proven steps, launcher recommendations, options for Java and Bedrock, and solutions to common errors.
In Short: What You Need
- Stable internet (ping up to 150 ms is recommended, no packet loss).
- Installed Minecraft:
- Java Edition (PC: Windows/macOS/Linux), version 1.20.x–1.21.x.
- OR Bedrock Edition (mobile, Windows from MS Store, consoles).
- Server address:
- Java: mc.minepix.net
- Bedrock: mc.minepix.net, port 19132 (default)
Note: If you are on a corporate network, public Wi‑Fi, or mobile internet with strict NAT — you may need extra steps from the “Troubleshooting” section.
Option A — Java Edition (PC)
1) Install a launcher
- Recommended: official Minecraft Launcher or Prism Launcher.
- Alternative: any compatible launcher that allows selecting version 1.16.x–1.21.x (Vanilla/OptiFine/Fabric).
2) Choose a version
- Select stable version 1.20.1 or 1.21.1.
- Mods:
- Client-side performance mods are allowed (Sodium, Iris, OptiFine).
- Mods that give unfair advantage (x‑ray, cheats, etc.) are forbidden.
3) Add the server
- Start the game → Multiplayer → Add Server.
- Name: MinePix
- Server address: mp.minepix.net
- Save and connect.
4) Optimization (optional)
- Enable V-Sync or set FPS limit in options.
- Lower Render Distance to 8–12.
- Update Java to the latest LTS (if using third-party launchers).
Option B — Bedrock Edition (mobile, Windows from MS Store, consoles)
1) Open “Play Online” (Play → Servers or Friends/Servers).
2) Add an external server:
- Name: MinePix
- Address: mp.minepix.net
- Port: 19132
3) Save and connect.
Tips:
- On iOS/Android, allow Minecraft access to the local network.
- On consoles, make sure your account has multiplayer permission.
- If your provider blocks non-standard connections — try a mobile hotspot or another network.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a license required?
- Java: Official license is recommended. Pirate launchers often cause connection and security errors.
- Bedrock: Official purchase in the relevant store (App Store/Google Play/MS Store) is enough.
Which versions are supported?
- Java: 1.20.x–1.21.x (best compatibility — 1.20.1 or 1.21.1).
- Bedrock: Latest stable edition from the official store.
Is there a whitelist?
- If the server is temporarily in whitelist mode, you need to apply in your profile/Discord. If you see a whitelist message when joining — check your account or contact support.
Is ping 100–200 ms OK?
- Yes, up to 150 ms is comfortable. Above 200 ms — possible lag. Try wired connection or another network.
Troubleshooting
Can’t connect: “Timed out” or “Unknown host”
- Check that the address is entered without spaces: mp.minepix.net
- Make sure there is no VPN/Proxy blocking UDP (especially for Bedrock).
- Try another network (mobile internet/other Wi‑Fi).
- Restart your router (disconnect for 30–40 sec).
- Java: In server list, click Refresh; remove and re-add the server.
Version error or “Outdated client/server”
- Update the game to the recommended version (Java 1.20.1/1.21.1).
- Select the correct version instance in the launcher.
Problems with textures/fonts/lag
- Disable heavy shaders or lower graphics settings.
- Make sure your resource pack is compatible with your version.
- Update your graphics card drivers (PC).
Check if the server is available from your network
- Java (PC): in terminal
- Windows: ping mp.minepix.net
- macOS/Linux: ping -c 4 mp.minepix.net
- Bedrock (UDP port): use online port check or traceroute/mtr utility to rule out packet loss.
Antivirus/firewall
- Add an exception for the launcher and javaw.exe (Java Edition).
- Make sure firewall does not block Minecraft (especially UDP for Bedrock).
Recommended Launchers and Tools
Java Edition
- Official Minecraft Launcher — simple and stable.
